Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Job Description:

Your mission during this flight:

As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data team based in the Digital Office. . You will be working along with Product Owners, Software Developers, Data Engineers & Analysts in the Microsoft Azure Data Tech Stack. In your role, you will join the team in building a data platform that allows various teams at Volocopter to build data products that support data-driven decisions across all our departments.

• Contribute towards architecture and guidelines around specific services for our data platform
• Build data pipelines that integrate data from various sources ranging from our aircrafts to business applications and many more
• Create analytical datasets and visualizations to accelerate data-driven decisions within the teams
• Implement and provide prototypes, blueprints and templates for data pipelines and dashboards as a foundation for other product teams
• Work directly with other individual contributors, like software developers, designers and analysts to achieve our vision.

Qualifications:

Check in your professional skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience working as a data engineer or similar role
• Strong skills in Python & SQL
• Strong skills building scalable ETL & ELT pipelines to integrate high volumes of unstructured, semi-structured and relational data
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks like Spark
• Experience designing production-ready data architectures based on Azure / AWS / GCP services

Preferred skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar studies
• Profound knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Data Stack with hands-on experience for services like Storage Accounts (ADLS), Synapse, Data Explorer
• Experience building data visualizations in Plotly / Dash, PowerBI or similar
