Software Engineer

At Audatic, we build systems to render speech from any sound scenario clear and free of noise using state of the art deep learning technology. With this, we enable millions of people with hearing loss to enjoy interactions in social settings like bars or restaurants.

To bring our vision to life, we require an efficient custom-tailored software infrastructure that empowers our deep learning networks to train on our GPU cluster and allows us to visualize results quickly and easily. Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technical field from a top-tier university
  • Good academic record
  • Ability to write clean and well-documented Python code
  • Dependable communication skills with full professional proficiency in English
  • Willingness to learn new things and adaptability

Kindly note: We have two Software Engineering teams at Audatic - Infrastructure & Performance. Job scope and responsibilities may vary depending on which team you will be joining.

In the Performance Team, your tasks could include:

  • Prediction of DNN performance on our custom hardware using existing Simulation & FPGA approaches and continuous improvement of those
  • Conversion of DNN models for efficient execution including quantization and other performance improvements
  • Investigation of accelerator HW candidates and SW approaches to solve particular challenges on the embedded HW
  • Verification of maintenance of the conversion process and other steps in the process

Preferred qualifications ( Performance Team) :

  • Advanced Python programming skills
  • Understanding of DNN and accelerator hardware
  • Advanced Python programming skills
  • Experience with TensorFlow and TFLite
  • C++ knowledge could be beneficial, but not necessary

In the Infrastructure Team, your tasks could include:

  • Setup and/or maintenance of a micro-service using Flask/Python
  • Setup and/or maintenance of a database
  • Improvement of our CI system
  • Improvement of our front-end visualisation tools
  • Finding solutions to make our infrastructure more robust and/or user-friendly
  • Implementation of changes needed by the team (back or front end) for new projects

Preferred qualifications ( Infrastructure Team) :

  • Advanced Python programming skills
  • Experience using Docker
  • Knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu and automation tools
  • Confident knowledge of some of the following technologies: Slurm, Jenkins, Bash, TensorFlow, Dash/Flask, Numpy, Pandas, ELK stack
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other querying languages
  • Experience working on web microservices
