What you will do:

This position is responsible for preparation of test plans and verification test cases based on product requirements for battery and subsystems with focus on HW/SW validation. Further responsibility of the Application Engineer is to perform testing based on the defined test plan, documentation of test results and support the review with the involved stakeholder (internal and external).

How you will do it:

• Requirements Analysis: Work with the System Engineering team to collect, analyze, and cascade the system requirements

  • Translate system/ subsystem requirements into test cases
  • Prepare feasibility analysis to optimize parameters for full requirement coverage
  • Lead the review for the defined test cases and the overall test plan
  • Support FMEA, preparation of testcases based on identified actions and integration in DVPR
  • Preparation traceability between FMEA and DVPR

• Test planning: Plan and track testing progress in alignment with program milestones

  • Preparation of overall DVPR on System or subsystem level
  • Preparation of overall test planning
  • Work with Engineering lead and PM to align test planning to the overall program milestones

• Test execution: Performing System/ System Integration testing according to aligned test plan

  • Definition and preparation of test set up
  • Programming of test benches to support defined test cases
  • Test execution based on defined test cases
  • Test documentation and pass/fail evaluation
  • Reporting of test status to Engineering lead and PM
  • Support root cause analysis in case of test failures or non-compliance to requirements

• Vehicle integration: Support Customer battery integration testing

  • Analysis of vehicle/ battery data
  • Support root cause analysis by testing evidence in case of integration issues
  • Support Clarios quality processes (FTA, FMEA, 8D)
  • Support Engineering and Quality team in customer report out
• Participation and reporting in the product engineering development teams (SDT/EDT)
• Assist in SW release processes
• Manage documentation to ensure a sensible archive and traceability of including requirements, standards, DFMEAs, validation reports and customer documents/communication.
• Provide technical support to designers, engineers, suppliers, and support personnel.

What we look for:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
• Solid years of professional experience in qualification testing
• Experience with automotive product development and qualification
• Experience or training QM tools (FMEA, Fault-Tree, 8D)
• Experience in ASPICE, ISO 26262
• Experience in Vector CAN tools mandatory
• Experience JAMA, JIRA
• Excellent written and verbal communicator to effectively communicate ideas
• Fluency In English Solid communication and organizational skills
• Upper intermediate level of German is nice to have
• Flexibility to travel up to 10%
