Project Manager (m/f/x)

Job Description

• Coordinating product requirements, internal resources and third-party suppliers for the flawless execution of multiple Optical-Subassembly (OSA) design projects from the early concept phase to mass production approval
• Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
• Developing detailed project plans spanning the entire OSA development cycle jointly with the functional project teams
• Aligning deliverables from internal teams and external partners such as component or equipment suppliers, qualification, and volume production or contract manufacturers
• Performing risk management and developing risk mitigation plans jointly with the functional project teams
• Creating project tracking indicators and drive technical and commercial project milestone reviews with management
• Managing the project development cost estimation and monitor actuals within agreed budgets
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
• Compiling and submitting capital expenditure applications

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree (Dipl.-Ing.) or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related subject
• Proven working experience in project management for complex microsystems, preferably OSAs and a high-volume production background
• Experience in the development of OSAs and their transfer into volume production is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English both internal and client-facing, basic skills in German are an advantage
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Certification of Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II is a plus
• Willingness to travel occasionally
