Your responsibilities

• You will work as part of an international team in the field of Aerospace Engineering for Aircraft Systems like the combat fighter Eurofighter, the future next generation fighter, unmanned systems or military or commercial helicopters
• You will support the SW engineering activities based on your experiences as lead SW developer or part of the SW developer team.
• You perform SW development and testing of software for safety-critical embedded systems, software for applications used in Mission Planning Systems, Flight Simulators, Ground Supporting Systems, Applications or any other tools
• for our customers of the aviation industry including all activities to establish the SW release and guiding other engineers with your spirit and experiences
• You are responsible for the analysis and review of the High-Level SW requirements as a basis for the SW developing activities and verify the implementation of the software or system's requirements
• Analysis of subsystem requirements and capture the software high-level requirements
• Adaption of software top-level architecture
• Design the software architecture and capture of low-level requirements for software components
• Coding the software according to the coding guidelines and SW standards
• Perform software unit testing, the SW/SW integration on host and SW/HW integration of the safety-critical embedded, real-time computer at software test bench level to verify the software components and documents the software test results
• You establish or support the preparation of all software documents​
• Support the definition of high-level SW requirements
• You plan and lead the SW reviews as chairman

Qualifikationen

What we are looking forward to

• You have successfully completed your studies in the field of computer science, electrical- or aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics, or comparable aviation engineering qualification
• You have proven experiences in embedded SW programming and SW testing with ADA (Ada83, Ada95, Ada 2005) and / or C
• You have experience in one or more SW programming languages: ADA (Ada83, Ada95, Ada 2005), C++ or C#, or Java, Python
• You have experience in SW Architecture activities, Methods (e.g. MBSA, Model based SW Development) and Tools
• You have experiences in defining and implementing structured software tests
• You have experience with Eclipse, GNAT/GPS or other SW development environments
• You have knowledge of bus systems (MIL-STD, ARINC, Serial)
• You have knowledge of DO-178B/C and former Standard DO178A MilStd 2167a
• Having experiences in Adacore is an advantage
• Having experiences in System Engineering and MBSA (Methods Model based SW Development) is an advantage
• Having experience with Realtime system like Windriver VxWorks is an advantage
• Having experiences in test systems is an advantage
• Having experience in Vector CAST and Doors is also an advantage
• You speak fluent English
• German skills are a great advantage and willingness to learn German is mandatory
• Important note: Due to legal requirements, unfortunately only applicants with German, British, Italian or Spanish nationality can be considered for projects in the military environment.
