Senior Simulation Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Senior Simulation Engineer, you design, implement, test, and maintain simulation modules for aircraft systems such as Flight Dynamics, Propulsion, Electrical Systems and Flight Controls. You collaborate closely with system engineers and domain experts to ensure realistic system behaviour and contribute to the continuous improvement and scalability of the overall simulation framework.

Description
- Design, implement, test, and maintain simulation modules for integrated aircraft engineering systems
- Collaborate with system engineers, developers and domain experts to ensure realistic system behaviour and valid modelling
- Improve and maintain the underlying simulation framework, ensuring scalability, modularity and robustness
- Model operational scenarios and failure modes of aircraft systems
- Validate simulation models using real‑world system data and performance parameters
- Translate complex physical behaviour into efficient software models
- Contribute to design decisions and technical discussions within the simulation community
- Ensure high standards for documentation, testing and code quality
Profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Aircraft Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience with simulation software
- Strong background in system modelling and validation of simulation models against real‑world systems
- Proficiency in C and C++ for simulation development
- Advanced experience with MATLAB / Simulink for model design
- Familiarity with version control, debugging tools and structured development processes
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, including operating scenarios and failure modes
