Position Summary:

In this role you will take over the operational support of several larger production units. In addition, you will manage larger and complex investment projects in the areas of maintenance and EHS in your area of responsibility, while adhering to time and budget requirements. You will be responsible for the technical leadership of the PLT operations team of the production units.

Job Description:

Your responsibilities

• Operational support of several larger production units in technical responsibility for the area of responsibility, taking into account the state of the art technology
• Supporting the documentation of proper maintenance / preventive maintenance in accordance with legal requirements and internal standards in the area of responsibility
• Initiation and control of the punctual execution of all legally required recurring inspections (e.g. according to AwSV, BetrSichV or SIL) as well as the documentation of the test results
• Supervision of the planning and execution of repair and maintenance work as well as continuous reduction of reactive maintenance through increased preventive and predictive maintenance
• Planning, controlling, adhering to and optimizing repair and maintenance costs in the area of responsibility and simultaneously ensuring plant safety and availability
• Compliance with legal regulations and internal company standards for occupational and plant safety as well as environmental and environmental and health protection
• Participation in the coordination of regulatory approvals with regard to technical equipment and documentation
• Support in safety considerations within the scope of process and plant safety
• Carrying out analyses of weak points (bad actor, root cause) and introducing measures to continuously increase plant availability and reduction of maintenance costs
• PLT maintenance budget and cost planning and control for the area of responsibility in close coordination with the respective plant manager and supervisor
• Compliance with relevant standard requirements according to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 and ISO 50001 in the area of responsibility
• Regular coordination with production and other areas within the framework of Tier 2 Board / technical meetings
• Management of larger and complex investment projects in the areas of maintenance and EHS in the area of responsibility in compliance with time and budget constraints
• Participation as a team member in particularly large and complex investment projects including supervision of installation and commissioning

Your qualification

Basic qualifications:

• Degree in the field of electrical engineering/ automation technology (Master / Diplom-Ingenieur).
• Professional experience in the field of industrial maintenance of PLT systems
• Project management skills, experience in the management of larger and complex I&E (investment) projects
• Knowledge of relevant regulations such as BetrSichV, Atex, functional safety (DIN EN IEC 61508/61511 or VDE/VDI 2180) and their interpretation / application
• User knowledge of SAP-PM, SAP-MM, MS Office programs, MS Project
• Strong communication skills (on different levels, in an international context)
• Very good presentation skills, especially of complex technical issues
• Good understanding of operational contexts as well as excellent analytical and conceptual skills
• Team-oriented working style
• Business fluent in German (written and spoken) and fluent in English (written and spoken)

Preferred qualifications:

• First experience in leading a team
• Practical experience in the environment of chemical production plants
• Strong knowledge of reliability methods and principles and advanced process control tools
• Knowledge of the Foxboro process control system
