BASF Stationary Energy Storage GmbH (BSES) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BASF SE. BSES is the exclusive distributer of the NAS® batteries and co-develops the NAS® technology together with its Japanese partner NGK Insulators Ltd.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this responsible position you will support the planning and build up of a new Gigafab for NAS batteries.

• For the development of new supply chain structures, you will analyze the technical specification of the battery parts, identify cost down potentials and search for new suppliers.
• You will coordinate closely with the internal global teams for strategic planning, technology, procurement and execution of the new fab.
• Furthermore, you will be embedded in our global structure of NAS battery development to be able to translate the latest product generation into production.
• In addition, you will represent the global technology function in interdisciplinary teams and you will promote the cooperation between the marketing, sales and R&D departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• completed studies in material science, engineering or chemistry,
• solid experience in the field of battery technologies or energy storage applications
• background in electrochemistry, industrial production and scaling technologies is an additional plus
• deep knowledge in project management and technical understanding to grow into fields which are beyond your current horizon
• analytical and strategic thinking
• excellent communication in English and in German
• social skills, to build strong networks and to get involved with international teams and cultures
• capable of completing successfully even controversial issues together with your partners and hold course in situations of uncertainty
