Resident Engineer - Electric Vehicles - Porsche project (m/w/d)

Key Objectives of this Role:

• Ensure customer satisfaction through appropriate technical support on a working level at PORSCHE customer premises and Visteon Karlsruhe in Weissach for vehicle electrification products;
• Ensure prototype final preparation and delivery to the customer;
• Participate in the product prototype debug sessions in the battery assembly stages or vehicle context;
• Update the prototype SW in the field / participate in re-flash activities.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelors or higher degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Informatics or Physics;
• Experience and personal interest in electrical/automotive engineering with software and electronics emphasis;
• At least 2 years of experience in the electrical appliances/electronics industry, ideally at a supplier of electronic / battery equipment for automotive or at one of the German automotive manufacturers;
• E3 High Voltage qualification is an advantage but the certificate can be acquired during the probation period;
• Knowledge of CAN-based tools, basics of programming, and MS Office tools is necessary;
• Independent and self-organized working style, good communicator, likes to work hands-on from soldering iron and screwdriver to oscilloscope and C compiler - even in the field;
• The ability for regular traveling, driving license is required;
• Written and spoken German and English are a must.

Reporting Structure:

• This role reports to the Chief Engineer responsible for the customer product delivery of electrification programs and is part of a multi-national, multi-regional team.
