Essential Job Functions

  • Develop, configure, and optimize PCBA processes from inception through to validation and ramp-up for the first year
  • Work closely with R&D on all design stages (component selection, PCB stack layer discussions with the suppliers, reviewing design and approving the design for manufacturability and testability)
  • Perform DFM (design for manufacturing) analyses both based on the design data and as part of the analysis of prototypes
  • Work with testing team to get their inputs on the testability during the design phase (Flying probe ICT & JTAG)
  • Work with industrial engineer for an optimal production output with good throughput times and efficiency
  • Run DOE and hypothetical testing to evaluate processes
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Perform PFMEAs (for PCBA production) for proper risk mitigation before builds
  • Working with external suppliers to assess and improve quality of the products
  • Provide process documentation (MOP, process validation documents, MPQP etc.)
  • In General, working closely with R&D, the testing Team, Quality and Production

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/ electronic/material science engineering or physics
  • Several of years of experience / Proven work experience in PCBA manufacturing
  • Knowledge of IPC standards used in medical technologies (PCBA electronic standards)
  • Excellent technical skills, “an eye” for details and very data driven
  • Open for improvements and changes, analytical, driven and customer-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills and willing to learn
  • “Straight forward” and “open minded”
  • Knowledge of process related standards (Six Sigma) would be plus
  • Experience of Lean tools (Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma etc.) would be a plus
  • Fluent German and English, written and spoken
