Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Performing Mechanical Design and guiding the mechanical aspects of development processes of various enclosures and fixtures for a broad range of IoT wireless devices
• Collaborating with team members from different disciplines, such as Electronics, Project Management, Manufacturing stakeholders, field support, and suppliers
• Performing Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulations and analysis for design validation and troubleshooting
• Prototyping, designing, and executing experiments
• Issuing technical drawings, defining fabrication processes, materials and finishing standards and performing tolerance analyses

Your Profile

• Degree (Uni./FH) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or similar
• 2-3 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering / Product Design and in Injection Molding, ideally with electronics related products
• Proficient with CAD software (SolidWorks) and basic experience with CAE software for structural, modal, thermal analysis (SolidWorks, SimScale)
• Good knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis (1D is necessary, 2D beneficial)
• Proficient in issuing manufacturing 2D drawings and necessary production documentations
• Knowledge of ISO GPS or GD&T and familiarity with PCBAs and PCBA components is a plus
• Very good English skills for composing internal documentations and assembly instructions
