Battery and Charger Hardware Engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities:

As HW Engineer at BCC, you will work with electronics for embedded systems for Husqvarna Group Battery & Chargers. You will be responsible for the full work cycle from; specification, documentation, component selection, schematic, layout, test, support with certification and drive maintenance activities.

You will work with the Battery Management System and Battery Chargers which involves digital, analogue and power electronics.

The BCC Battery and Charger Hardware engineer is responsible for

• Creating the HW subsystem requirement specification.
• Hardware Test Specification
• Component selection, schematic and layout.
• Supplier design validation
• Additional supporting documents depending on product standard.
• BMS test & verification

Requirements:

• The role requires a diploma in electronic engineering.
• You have several years of relevant experience from all aspects of the role, explicitly working with
  • Lithium-ion batteries
  • switched power supplies and smart chargers
  • Cadence OrCAD
  • digital, analogue and power electronics design
  • experienced in measuring high and low power signals
  • practical experience in lab work
• You have solid experience of capturing and structuring requirements.
• You have a proven track record on being able to describe/communicate and apply/reuse design patterns.
• You have a strong proven track record of working with other functions in the organization for example mechanical engineering, SW engineering and product management. This includes leading/guiding/coordinating colleagues in these adjacent disciplines on technical details.
• The evaluation of the test results, the identification and solution of any difficulties that arise will be prepared by you and presented to the development team.
• You have knowledge of not only electrical design but also mechanical construction in order to be able to evaluate and formulate possible solutions on product level.
• Proven collaboration with sourcing is important where you have long experience leading the work towards suppliers with respect to tracking supplier development and their quality of deliverables.
• English fluency in both writing and speaking is a must, speaking/reading Swedish or German is an advantage.
• You are expected to travel to other Husqvarna and BCC sites and to suppliers.
• You are analytical and can boil down complex issues to the essentials.
• You are a highly experienced and driven problem solver who always looks for solutions with a positive approach.
• You have a strong drive to achieve clarity and communication on complex solutions towards stakeholders.
• You are well organized, thorough, and reliable with the ability to regularly shift focus from a detailed level to high level perspective.
• Excellent in communication skills, stakeholder management and leads through technical authority.
