RF System Expert (m/f/d)

Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

Our Terminal Antenna RF team will play a leading role in researching new technology and delivering specific solutions for next generation consumer product including smartphones, smartwatch, etc. To build up a high level expert team in the Munich Research Center as part of the Terminal Antenna and RF team, we are searching for a RF System Expert with a specific focus on driving next generation RF front-end solutions for technology breakthroughs in terminals.

Ideally, you are currently in a senior system engineering leadership position within RF Terminal or a RF chipset development organization, you are passionate in researching and integration of novel system concepts and have a track record of delivering them for the next generation products. You have demonstrated the ability to envision the future and have the technical leadership skills to drive concept through to product roadmap impact. You have developed a network of technology partnerships with OEM’s and academic community in Europe.

Your mission

• Create new innovative ideas and major IPRs for terminal front-end solutions in mm-Wave and sub-6GHz fields.
• Support the technical planning and implementation of terminal RF and Power Management concepts in 5G technology and beyond.
• Translating system requirements into subblock specifications for Antennas, RF Filters, Power amplifiers, Power Management, LNA’s and RF switches.
• Guiding concept design and development of the next generation of HUAWEI device products by leading the concept benchmark and verification through system modelling and simulation.
• Teaming up with experts on concept partitioning and integration and give advice on layout, module design, verification and system debugging, etc.
• Promoting technology research results to product implementation, for the future of HUAWEI's device product competitiveness and contribution value.
• Keep track on the prototype development and develop plan for improvement.

Your areas of expertise

• Ph.D. degree in electrical/electronic engineering, communication systems, RF and microwave technology, RF IC design, antenna design or related majors
• Excellent understanding on RF design theory, RF Systems, Power Amplifiers, LNA’s, Power Management and antenna interactions.
• Excellent System Simulation skills in Matlab, SystemVue, etc. and hands-on experience with creating RF system level plans.
• Very Good RF circuit simulation experience in ADS or AWR
• Very good RF design and RF device characterization and modelling experience
• Hands on experience on electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, FEM, CST, SONNET and etc.
• Good script programming skills, such as Python etc.
• Good communication skills in English
• Good at team work, international team coordination and cooperation ability, available for business travel on request
• Self-motivated and fast learner
