A day in a life of a Category Engineer

  • Bringing your expertise to create, deploy and maintain relevant category engineering knowledge on state of the art and future manufacturing set-up End to End
  • Drive leadership in technology/engineering mastership delivering Manufacturing Excellence.
  • Collaborating closely with our engineering network within Operations and Research and Development to deliver Fast Deployment Module and rapidly scale up innovations.
  • Active collaboration with Business, Operations and Nestlé’s R&D networks in successfully deploying standards (improving processes, performance, machine and process safety and competitive quality), annual benchmarking, trainings, network meetings etc.
  • Industrializing technologies through the implementation of equipment in factories and markets, collaborating with project managers and engineers from the NPTC Food team, and monitoring potential issues.

What will make you successful

  • After you finished your masters degree in Engineering you worked 3-5 years in research and development and/ industrial engineering operations, successfully working on projects with significant impact.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of technologies and equipment concepts for food product lines.
  • Ability to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.
  • Engineering management experience in a factory operations environment is a must.
