Responsibilities

  • You will demonstrate extensive expertise and solutions in working with GPI/IP21 and database applications such as VAX/VMS, etc.
  • You will acta as a Project Lead in project teams for developing and implementing relevant MES elements according to GPM and the Process Control Work Process
  • You will offer in-depth knowledge in specific areas such as IP21/GPI application, database programming, and interface applications (PRODUCER™, Aspen MEB, OREM™, etc.)
  • You will analyze the technical performance of ongoing process information systems. Identifies, develops, and implements improvement opportunities using advanced software applications (e.g., Advanced Control).
  • You will actively participate in global professional networks within the field.
  • You train and support the plant personnel

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Automation Engineering, Physics, Technical Mathematics, or equivalent (Diploma, Bachelor, Master).
  • Profound knowledge in the field of process data processing (MES, VAX/IP21), proficient in developing and applying modern process automation concepts (such as "Multivariable Constraint Control").
  • Deep understanding of database applications such as SQL, LIMS, or familiarity with the current state of the art in relevant network and information technology.
  • Good knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Proficient in PC data processing software (MS Excel, etc.), statistics, application simulation (e.g., MATLAB Simulink), and principles of cost-effectiveness analysis of related projects.
  • You have a strong personality with a problem-solving mentality and logical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a team, flexibility are your distinguishing features
  • In addition to German, you have a very good knowledge of English
