Mechatronics Hardware Engineer (m/f/d) for Thermal and Wiring System Design

Job Description

• As a part of the Hardware Development team you develop innovative cooling and wiring designs
• Develop, simulate, and evaluate board-level cooling components such as heatsinks, heatpipes, and thermal interface materials to boost the performance of high-power instruments
• Perform heat transfer simulations for complex electrical components and PCBs
• Design, simulate, and assess high-density wiring systems capable of handling high currents or high voltages
• Build and test lab prototypes, including conducting detailed characterization measurements
• Work closely with contract manufacturers and supply chain on rollout and support

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
• Solid knowledge of electronic and mechanical design and simulation
• Basic experience with thermal simulation tools
• Experience in CAD design software, preferably with parametric design tools such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX
• Practical experience in heatsink or cable development as well as manufacturing support
• Business fluent German and fluent English communication skills
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for working collaboratively in a team
