Your Tasks
- Manage external funded projects, overseeing time, cost, quality, and risk while ensuring alignment with the other departments, budget, and milestone targets
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, documenting key milestones, and providing updates through reports and presentations
- Lead the work and coordination between RFA internal teams and partners for external funded projects, ensuring effective communication between internal and external stakeholders
- Support the Finance Departmenet preparing financial reporting for external funded projects
- Take charge of technical writing and preparing project deliverables with external customers (e.g. ESA, governmental institutions) on-time, on-quality and on-budget
- Contribute to the technical work of the predevelopment team, including the creation of development roadmaps for future vehicles and technologies, mission and technical requirements, design studies and trade-offs, creation of system architectures, etc.
- Contribute to proposal writing for funded projects
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Aerospace, Space Engineering or similar discipline
- Work experience in project management in the space industry is a plus
- Knowledge of European/German/Bavarian funding programs and proposal processes (FLPP, ELC, RaFo-Bayern, etc.) is a plus
- Great listener that is able to simultaneously push the team forward
- Able to thrive in uncertainty and provide organization and structure where needed
- Strong technical affinity and enthusiasm for New Space Strong writing and formatting skills with excellent command of Microsoft Office
- Business-fluent English, both spoken and written (all day-to-day activities are conducted in English)
- German fluency is highly desirable due to the need for communication with external German stakeholders
- Strong time management, a team-player attitude, and emotional intelligence
- Demonstrated independence, proactivity, and structured approach to work
- Strong cost and risk awareness with a business-oriented mindset
