Are you a student in a natural sciences or engineering program looking for an interesting working student position in the industry? Do you work independently and with high self-motivation? In the "Image Analysis" team at HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH in Aalen, we are looking for a dedicated student (m/f/d) to support software development for aerial platforms. We are a young development team creating an innovative real-time image processing application to enhance and evaluate video data and fuse sensor data, helping us make the invisible visible, detect threats, and automate manual evaluation processes. In your role with us, you will work with state-of-the-art algorithms on the (further) development of prototypes in close collaboration with the development team. A master's thesis following the internship is also possible. We look forward to your application!

Ihre Aufgaben:

• Analyze existing prototype algorithms and approaches
• Improve existing documentation
• Adapt and deploy software in new environments
• Develop solutions for improving and troubleshooting existing implementations in close coordination with experts
• Conduct critical testing and evaluation of the software's performance

Ihr Profil:

• Enrolled student (m/f/d) in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field of study
• Knowledge of programming in Python and Matlab
• Basic knowledge of advanced topics in optics (Fourier transformation, power spectrum, etc.) is an advantage
• Experience in video/image processing, algorithmics, and software development is a plus
• Proficiency in German or English at a native speaker level
