Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Proven experience in test automation development and integration testing.
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Ansible, Selenium, PyTest, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Experience with Python, and/or Java, or C++ for scripting and test automation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI,…).
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Shell).
- Understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, regression).
- Experience with requirements management & traceability tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to learn basic Spanish if not already proficient.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in space, aviation, or safety-critical systems.
- Knowledge of ECSS standards, Galileo, or other GNSS-related programmes.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or virtualization for test environments.
- Certification in software testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for Galileo ground systems, based on system requirements.
- Develop continuous integration / continuous testing (CI/CT) pipelines to support system validation and regression testing.
- Analyse requirements and translate them into test cases and automation scenarios.
- Perform integration and validation testing of complex ground control and mission systems.
- Ensure test traceability against requirements in compliance with ESA/EUSPA standards.
- Collaborate with system engineers, L2 engineers, software developers, and quality managers to improve test coverage and reliability.
- Contribute to test reporting, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA.
