Technical Project Manager Earth Observation Missions (m/f/d)

Your Tasks
- Leading the preparation and execution of Earth Observation mission and system proposals for ESA, EC, DLR, commercial customers etc.
- Leading the project team throughout the development of the project
- Organize and lead regular project meetings to plan and review the project progress
- Analyse, define and coordinate requirements with the project team and the customer(s)
- Management and co-ordination of individual project partners and subcontractors
- Be responsible for the cost, schedule and performance of studies or projects
- Leading the negotiations, strengthening our relationships with clients, and acting as a liaison to key stakeholders in client organisations
Your Qualifications
- Successful completion of a degree in aerospace, engineering or a related field that demonstrates your expertise
- Practical experience, preferably in the dynamic space industry, where you have demonstrated your practical knowledge
- Knowledge of space projects, including systems and operations
- Proven experience in preparing persuasive proposals that emphasizes your ability to make effective presentations.
- A deep understanding of complicated institutional structures that will enable you to navigate our challenging environment
- Passion and knowledge in the field of space is not only desirable, but is the foundation for our mutual success. An understanding of Earth Observation remote sensing principles (optical and microwave) would be an advantage
- Experience with applicable standards (ECSS) is desirable
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Strong result orientation, operational efficiency, high sense of responsibility and ability to make pragmatic and timely decisions
- High level of flexibility, willingness to work in international teams and ability to meet tight schedules
- Proficiency in the English language
