Your Responsibilities
- Human-Centered Design: Develop innovative design concepts for our system and its environment that enhance functionality, usability and aesthetics while applying ergonomics and user-centered principles to ensure intuitive and safe human interaction.
- Design Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance design and user experience, while staying current with trends in robotics, materials, and manufacturing technologies to inform and elevate product design.
- Product Development: Collaborate with robotics engineers and product managers to refine designs, ensuring they are feasible and align with both user needs and the company's vision.
- Prototyping: Develop prototypes using CAD software, 3D printing, and other rapid prototyping techniques to validate and iterate design concepts.
- Project Management: Oversee projects from initial concept to production, ensuring timelines and quality standards are consistently met.
- Documentation: Create detailed design documentation, specifications and visualizations.
- Presentation: Present design ideas and concepts to stakeholders, gathering feedback and iterating as necessary.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Engineering Design or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience as a product or industrial designer or a comparable role.
- High creativity, strong sense of style, empathy and passion for user-centered design.
- Enthusiasm for developing innovative solutions, with a strong interest in new technologies and trends, as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Experience with ergonomics and HMI principles.
- Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.
- Strong visualization skills with the ability to quickly bring ideas and concepts to life and communicate with stakeholders.
- Excellent proficiency in CAD software (preferably in SolidWorks), Keyshot, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.
- Fluent in German and English.
